My muscles are paying me back for trying to drag them 980 feet up a mountain! I am SO sore, so, so, so sore!
But you know what, I am loving every minute of it!
I love knowing that today my discomfort is not from overeating, or swelling, or laziness, or disappointment. Instead my discomfort is from a workout that pushed my muscles to the edge as I re-commited myself to achieving my goals...
...AND IT FEELS GOOD...REALLY GOOD!
Today I tracked all of my food!
Today I got my body moving!
Today I made the switch from Weight Watchers to Spark People. (If you are on Spark People, I would love to add you as a Spark Friend. My Spark Name is ConnieLeeHarris).
Today I also refueled myself spiritually, counted my blessings & gave thanks for them, and spent some fun, quality time with my family.
It was a good day. A really good day.
Re-commitment is good for the soul!

Hi Connie, I am newer to your blog. I couldn't even tell you how I originally found it....but you and I have both recommitted ourselves to our own weight loss journeys recently. I found your mountain story very inspiring. I am starting at 334 and feel like it is definitely hard to break old habits and physically get this body moving. ReplyDeleteI feel ya lady!!! I am sore and wiped out from all of the walking (and stroller pushing) I did over the weekend. I am on sparkpeople...but rarely go on. I'll look for you though...maybe this will help me to track my food better.
