I WANT TO....

Emotional eat right now so badly I can barely handle it!!!

I am fighting it...fighting it hard!

If the only way to stop myself is to lock myself in my room - so be it!

  1. Oh, been there done that! I've literally locked myself in my room, because my perpetual laziness is worse than my perpetual binge-ing, and I know I won't walk up the stairs if I make myself go to my room. Pathetic, huh?

  2. I know this sounds too simplistic, but have you addressed any of the things that are bothering you? Sometimes, I just have to start getting things done that I've been procrastinating on to make myself feel better.

    Other times, I tell myself that it is okay for me to have a dark mood. I'm not just a people-pleaser who sedates herself with food to fit the cultural expectation that women are "always" in a good mood. Crankiness helps me get things done! And it alerts me to things that are deeply bothering me.

    Lastly, I've often felt better after putting on a warmer sweater, softer socks, or taking a very hot bath. A cup of hot tea is nice too.

    I hope any of these ideas work for you. The more times you successfully fight against emotional eating, the easier it becomes.
